Brings Nearly Three Decades of Public Safety and Law Enforcement Expertise to the Nation’s Most Recognized Firm in Higher Education Safety and Security.

Following over a year of development and review, the U.S. Department of Education developed the new handbook to provide assistance to institutions of higher education working to meet the campus safety and security requirements of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.  The new handbook includes the 2008 amendments to the Jeanne Clery Act as well as the new campus fire safety reporting requirements.

There are signs that government is taking on the problem of campus sexual assault with a new seriousness. The United States Department of Education is announcing “voluntary resolution agreements” with two schools that had been criticized for the way they’d handled assaults. And new legislation in Congress would expand and clarify the responsibility of colleges and universities.
