For all of us with packed schedules and significant responsibilities back home at our institutions, the time was well spent. The program was focused, informative and engaging. Great Presenters!

Boston - Margolis Healy completed the first seminar in the series, Navigating Legal Issues Under OCR’s 2011 Dear Colleague Letter, based on needs arising from the April 2011 US Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) Dear Colleague Letter. Developed in collaboration with United Educator’s Select Counsel firm Dinse, Knapp, McAndrew, P.C., the seminar provided guidance and clarity for dozens of higher education institutions from across the country regarding federal guidelines to address gender and sexual violence on campuses.
The Margolis Healy curriculum, developed by national practitioners in higher education law and gender-based sexual violence crimes, represents the latest comprehensive scholarship on the topic. Steven J. Healy, Margolis Healy Managing Partner, said that one goal of the seminar was to “ensure ongoing collaboration and learning amongst participants and faculty. A multidisciplinary approach to institutional compliance is crucial to success”.
Dr. Gary Margolis is slated to emcee at an upcoming ACPA symposium focused on current issues in higher education including Title IX, Bullying and Threat Assessment. The symposium will be held at George Washington University on November 10 - 11. For more information on the ACPA symposium Click Here.
