Katrina joined the Margolis Healy team in 2015 and serves as Business Development Manager & Associate Counsel. She leads the company’s proposal management process by working with key stakeholders, prospective and existing clients, and internal staff on each project from its inception. She is also responsible for leading all contract negotiations for the firm.

Katrina has over 17 years of business development and legal expertise and brings to the company a strong track record of cultivating partnerships with educational institutions, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, corporations, and foundations. She has deep understanding of public and private sector contracts and government funding mechanisms.

Prior to joining Margolis Healy, Katrina specialized in public-private partnerships and business development for organizations with an international scope. At the Institute for Sustainable Communities in Montpelier, VT, she managed teams of up to 20 people in the design and development of large-scale multi-million dollar funding proposals for US and international government agencies.

Prior to her work at the Institute for Sustainable Communities, Katrina worked in business development roles for large international organizations including the United Nations Foundation and World Wildlife Fund in Washington, DC. At these institutions, she was responsible for securing partnership commitments from government, corporate, and foundation donors.

Katrina received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bryn Mawr College. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she received dual certifications in American Indian Law and Natural Resources Law. During her time at UNM School of Law, she was Lead Articles Editor of the Natural Resources Law Journal and received the Honorable Pete Domenici Award for Excellence in Environmental Law.
